For Eliza…

Since I don’t know how to comment directly on your blog…I thought I’d do it here! =]  First off.. I SOOO wish I were as beautiful as you are now when I had chemo!!  The shape of your head is perfect for chemo!  Mine was long and not so attractive!

Random thoughts… I was shopping at Rue21 today and saw a super cute one sleeved top.  Never bought one before, but had to get this one.  I tried it on and checked it out in the mirror.  The side w/o the the sleeve was my port side.  Just a scar now, but a reminder that I am indeed a survivor. Just celebrated 5 years out.  I am hoping you know that you ARE a survivor despite your name.  The moment your doctor told you the news… you survived it. =]  You can do this… you’ve already shown that.  Thanks for posting pictures of your journey.  So positive and helpful for other women just starting out.

I had a unilateral with chemo.  Stage 2 with several lymph nodes involved tho they took 29 of them.

What a blessed girl you are to have the guys in your life right now supporting you!!  Friends like that make the journey bearable.  I kinda laughed when you said you gorged yourself!  LOL  I would send my husband down to the cafeteria each time and we would eat a HUGE breakfast during treatments!!  We’re just cereal kinda people, so it was a treat to get eggs, bacon, and biscuits.  It also helped me once I was home to sleep in a more vertical than horizontal position.

Here is my blog from my journey if you’re interested:

Keep your spirits up… it DOES get easier…and you DO get through it.  Jo
